Music of YVS directed Vishnu and Ileana starrer, Salim, was released in grand style. The audio launch ceremony was held on Wednesday evening (November 11, 2009) at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad. Along with lead pair Vishnu and Ileana, Kaveri Jha, Venkat, producer Mohan Babu, director YVS, Brahmanandam and other crew members attended. Some of the biggest personalities from film industry and as well as from political circles attended the event. Among the celebrity guests – Dasari Narayana Rao, K Raghavendra Rao, hero Nitin, Kalyan Ram, Mamta Mohandas, Jayasudha, V V Vinayak, Rajamouli were present. Yarlagadda, Vedavyas and several politicians are also graced.

Some of the songs were performed on the stage by the hero Vishnu and Kaveri Jha and dancers. The event was held like an entertainment show.
